On this 200th episode of Speaking Out for the Blind, we’ll be talking with the Washington State School for the Blind about their special photography class. We’ll learn how the students take pictures while exploring their surroundings.

There’s a new video game for the blind and visually impaired with lots of action and fantasy. The game follows a young blind sister, who was sheltered for most of his childhood, and he goes on an exciting adventure. The game’s creator, Dave Evans, tells us more about that adventure.

CBS News reports that Lego is releasing a new set of Braille bricks. We’re going to learn how these engaging and playful bricks may help blind and visually impaired kids learn Braille.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Rodney Evans is a low vision award-winning filmmaker. Evans’ vision loss hasn’t stopped him from directing and writing movies. We’re going to learn how Rodney directs movies and a little about his new film Vision Portraits.

Blind author and traveler Tony Giles joins us. He’ll talk about his recent travel reports that are being featured on the BBC Travel Show.

Texas-based orientation and mobility specialist Lisa Hanson and Texas Woman’s University representative Dr. Lisa Silliman-French will be joining us. They’re going to tell us about Camp Abilities, the week-long camp filled with fun sports activities for blind and visually impaired students.

ACB member and author Ann Chiapetta rejoins us. She’s going to tell us about one of her brand spanking new publications and give our listeners who want to be authors some guidance.
